Cancelling a Mexico Insurance Policy

Cancelling a Mexico insurance policy is simple. However, we do need your request in writing, you can provide that to us by completing our Cancellation Form, emailing us at Mexico@MexicoInsuranceOnline.com, or fax us at 928-779-7221.

Here are some important points about cancellations.

Mexico policy cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions of the policy and the terms of purchase. The following are general limitations on cancellations.

1. Daily policies cannot be cancelled once they go into effect. There are some reasonable exceptions to this rule related to last minute car trouble or medical emergencies, however if the vehicle cross into Mexico, and was covered canceling coverage is difficult and unlikely.
2. Six month and annual policies that are requested to be canceled once in effect will be prorated based on the daily rate. Meaning that after 15 days of coverage the policy has been fully earned.
3. All cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to half of the policy fee (i.e. $10 on daily rated policies, and $15 on six month and annual policies.)
